Straight Shot Sport Shop burglarized last Monday

Last Monday morning, Nov. 30, sometime in the early hours, burglars broke out a window at Straight Shot, a sporting goods store on Richmond Road, and removed several weapons. The store stocks hunting equipment such as bows, arrows and guns.

Kentucky State Police Detective Ken Bradley is working the case but released a list of guns stolen through the Estill County Sheriff’s Office.

They include: two Keltec P3AT, four Hi Point CF 380s; three Heritage rough rider revolvers; one 9mm Ruger, SR9; one Ruger Vaquero revolver; one Kimber PROTLE II; two Colt revolvers; two Smith and Wesson handguns, one a 38 special; two Springfields; two Saiga rifles; one Century Arms rifle; two Taurus revolvers; one Cimmeron revolver; one Colt official police revolver, 38 special, one American Arms 38 special revolver and one Smith and Wesson 357 revolver.

The glass cases that held most of the guns were also broken. Some of the guns were hanging on the wall.

Deputy Russell Morris said that the burglary happened sometime after 2 a.m. when he had checked on the businesses in that area.

All serial numbers on the stolen weapons are on file. Anyone approached to buy one of these guns should check the number with the sheriff’s office or the state police. Buying stolen property is a crime punishable with prison time.
