Senior Jerran Webster said he's excited to try for another district championship in his last year on the field as a baseball Engineer.

Eighteen-year-old Jerran Webster is a senior at Estill County High School.
Jerran is in the middle of his senior baseball season and recently finished his last basketball season at ECHS. Jerran said he has played baseball since he was old enough to hit a ball.
Jerran’s dad coached a baseball team so he decided to try it out.
He said the greatest accomplishment in his baseball career was winning the district championship in 2012 and winning regionals that same year. Jerran, who plays left field on the varsity team, said he works hard in practice and stays focused in hopes of becoming a better player. He said he works on catching fly balls and batting to achieve this goal.
This year Jerran said it’s his goal to help his team win regionals in his last year on the field.
“The team has had a rocky start,” he said. “But they we will pick up gradually.
After what he hopes will be a “great season,” Jerran plans to attends Eastern Kentucky University in the fall.
He said his favorite words to live by are, “If what you did yesterday still seems big, then you haven’t done much today.”
