There have been more charges in the Larry Allen Riddell murder case that indicate he may not have acted alone when he allegedly shot and killed Eric Murphy on March 19.
In addition to being indicted for the murder, Riddell, 34, has now been indicted for complicity to commit murder along with three other defendants.
Penny L. Goosey, 33, of Tipton Ridge Road, Paula Voils, 29, of Wisemantown Road and Earl Willis, 43 of Thomas Road were also named in the indictment returned on Oct. 9.
The Estill County Grand Jury alleges in the indictment that on March 19 one of the defendants shot Murphy and the other three either “engaged in a conspiracy with each other to commit the offense or aided, counseled, and abetted each other in the commission of the offense.”
This crme is a capital offense.
Commonwealth Attorney Heather Combs explained what led to the new indictments.
“All we know is that Penny Goosey, Earl Willis, Paula Voils and Larry Alan Riddell were at Riddell’s residence when shots rang out and Eric Murphy was killed. The grand jury felt it was appropriate to return indictments on all four for complicity to commit murder,” she said.
