Investigations into crimes committed in Madison County recently have resulted in the arrests of several Estill County residents that were reported on richmondregister.com.
Two Estill County women were arrested at the Blue Moon Tavern at 1:20 in the morning last Friday and charged with assault.
According to a story on the Richmond Register’s website, Rachel L.Richardson, 22 of Irvine and Theresa A. Jones, 30 of Ravenna are accused of holding a third woman against her will and causing injuries to her for which she was hospitalized.
The story, by reporter Ronica Shannon, states that Richardson and Jones were arrested on a warrant by Richmond Police Officer Eric Short.
It states that police were called to a residence on Lowell Avenue on May 2 where they were told that the victim was held for about two hours and beaten by three females who allegedly stole money from her.
The victim was treated at St. Joseph Medical Center in Lexington for bruised ribs and a burst blood vessel in her eye according to Shannon’s story.
The third female who took part in the alleged beating is still at large and Richmond Police are asking anybody who has knowledge of the case to call 859-623-8911 or 859-623-1162.
According to the story, Richardson and Jones were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center charged with second degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and first degree robbery. Their bail was set at $10,000 cash each.
