Andrew ‘Justin’ Cody Rogers, 28

Andrew “Justin” Cody Rogers, 28, died Aug. 4, 2012, at his home in Beverly Hills, Florida. He was born on Feb. 8, 1984, in Versailles, and lived a short, but fruitful life. He was the son of Daniel Carl and Kimberly Kay McCoy-Rogers. He was a member of Stubenville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rupert “Elmo” Congleton.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Michelle Gibson Rogers of Florida; his parents, Daniel Carl and Kimberly Kay McCoy Rogers of Ravenna; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Karen Hart Gibson of Monticello; grandparents, Lillian Ann McCoy of Ravenna and Mildred Hart and Edwina Gibson, both of Monticello; two sisters, Stevie Rhiannon Rogers of Ravenna and Brianna Shea Hibbard (Brandon) of Richmond; sister-in-law, Shelley Brook Gibson of Louisville; brothers-in-law, Gary and David Jany, both of Louisville; an aunt, Michelle Vance (Jerry) of Stanton; two uncles, Daryl Congleton of Camargo and David Congleton (Tammy) of Stanton; a nephew, Brayden Hibbard of Richmond;   cousin/brothers, John Marcus Rogers of Tennessee, and Zachary Kyle Rogers and Adam Jacob Rogers, both of Versailles; and his dog, Addalin.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Bob Puckett. Burial was at McCoy Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Marcus, Zachery Rogers, David Blankenship, Gary Jany, Josh Daugherty and Timothy Elam. Honorary pallbearers were his cousins and Truman Moore.

James Michael Grace, 47

James Michael Grace, 47, of Pea Ridge Road, Irvine, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the Compassionate Care Center after a short illness. He was born June 19, 1965, in Estill County and was the son of the late Ezekial and Edna Wooten Grace. He was a former employee of Bluegrass Plating and attended the Wagersville Pentecostal Church of God. He had lived in Estill County all of his life. He was preceded in death by a niece, Heather Grace.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Gordon of Richmond; three brothers, Ronnie Grace of Richmond, Rex Grace of Irvine and Ezekial Grace of Irvine; and a half-brother, James Grace of Irvine.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 10, at the Pea Ridge Holiness Church by Bro. Beverly Arvin, Bro. Daren Slone and Bro. Charles Whittmore. Burial was at the Pea Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Hunt, Donald Norton, Doug Gordon, Derrick Grace, Justin Gordon, Jeremy Gordon, Masco Grace and Jacob Gordon. Honorary pallbearers were Rex Grace, Gary Grace, Thomas Dawes and Frank Johnson.

Glyndon Russel Watson, 77

Glyndon Russel Watson, 77, of 501 Riverview Street, husband of Virginia “Sissy” Watson, died Friday, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1934, to the late Ernest and Hallie Watson. He was a retired IBM employee and electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Sissy” Watson of Stanton; three sons, James Russel and wife, Deborah Kay Watson of Irvine, Roger David Watson of Irvine and Brent Russel Watson of Booneville; a daughter, Jenny Lynn Williams of Michigan; a step-son, Larry Lane of Stanton; a step-daughter, Arlene Tapp of Stanton; a brother, John Willard Watson of Berea; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Davis & Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Anthony Molihan. Burial was at Estes Cemetery, Happy Top Road, Clay City, with military honors.

Virginia Martin Patrick Yeager, 98

Virginia Martin Patrick Yeager, 98, of Main Street in Irvine, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, after a short illness. She was born in a log cabin on a small knoll at Kimbrell (a rural area of Estill County) on Dec. 2, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Owen and Mary Catherine Tuttle Yeager. She worked at the Blue Grass Ordinance for a short time, but, spent most of her life working within the Estill County School System. She started at a very early age teaching all eight grades in a one room school house. She progressed from teaching in both the Irvine and Ravenna Elementary Schools and taught Mathematics in the Irvine and Estill County High Schools for most of her career. She had a keen interest in pottery, painting and loved playing cards with her friends. She had lived in Estill County all of her life and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Garden club and she volunteered at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Bennett Yeager; a son, Joseph Patrick Yeager; a sister, Geneva Murphy; and two brothers, Earl and Harold Patrick. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Anne Schmitz and husband, Robert of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Thomas Bennett Yeager and wife, Marian of Winchester, Va. and Frank Yeager of Winchester; Seven grandchildren, Maria Martin, Tommy Yeager, Becky Palka, Kimberly Jo Dwyer, Joe Pat Yeager, Frankie Yeager and Lance Yeager; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church by Father Al Fritsch. Burial was at the Richmond Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital. Pallbearers were Joe Yeager, Frankie Yeager, Lance Yeager, Jon Tuttle, Byrum Patrick, Bryan Hickey.
