Irvine Police Department
6-29 Justin Roberts, 23, of Ann Street, was arrested after he attempted to steal from his father, Ronald Roberts, which violated his EPO. He was arrested at Wisemantown Grocery. He gave officers consent to search his vehicle. Police found a needle on the passenger side floor and a soda can with a pill on it. Roberts said the pill was a 15 mg oxycodone, a narcotic. Roberts is being charged with violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, first degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $2,500 cash.
6-28 Charles Willis, 58, of High Street, was arrested after he assaulted his wife, Diane Willis, and threatened to shoot her in the head. While in an altercation with his wife, Willis smacked her in the face and grabbed her by the throat. He then placed a .380-calibur pistol to her head and threatened to kill her. A seven-year-old was also present in the home at the time of the incident. Diana Willis broke free and ran to a neighbor’s home to call for help. Charles Willis admitted to all of the events and threatened to kill his wife in presence of Ravenna Police Chief Ken White. The altercation was over money. Charles Willis is being charged with fourth-degree assault, third-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree wanton endangerment. Bond is set at $15,000 cash.

6-30 Kevin Tipton, 54, of Raintree Court, was arrested after he sent a text message threatening the life of Judge Trude. A witness said she saw Tipton sitting outside of Trude’s home. Tipton also sent several threatening text messages to his ex-wife, Amber Tipton, her mother and her sister. Tipton is being charged with retaliating against participant in legal process, third degree terroristic threatening and second degree stalking. Bond is set at $500 cash.
