Help support Grandparents United and win a beautiful quilt
The Estill County Grandparents United, a club for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren, made this quilt that they are selling chances on. They want to raise money to be able to take their grandchildren to the zoo and other places. They will also use the money to help out individual grandparents with purchasing things like shoes for their grandchildren or hair cuts for the grandparents. Community Education Director Teresa Dawes said they traced pictures from a coloring book onto the white quilt block squares and colored them with crayons. The finished product is called a “A Crayon Quilt.” Chances are $1 for one or six for $5. For more information about Grandparents united or to purchase chances on the quilt, call Teresa at 723-2181.
