Strawberry Pizza

1 box Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Mix
1 cup powdered sugar
1 quart sliced strawberries
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup Cool Whip
Strawberry Pie Gel
Prepare cookie mix as directed. Press cookie mix in pizza pan. Press down; bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool; then mix cream cheese, sugar, and Cool Whip. Spread on cooled cookie crust. Place strawberries on cheese spread and cover with strawberry pie gel.

Poached Pears

4 firm pears
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup wter
Peel, halve, and core pears. Combine water, sugar, and vanilla in a deep skillet. Heat liquid and add pears. Cook about 10 minutes, basting pears occasionally. Remove pears and boil liquid until syrupy. Pour over pears. Serve on ice cream.

Crock Pot
Cabbage Rolls

12 large cabbage leaves
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup cook rice
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Immerse cabbage leaves in large kettle of boiling water for about three minutes or until limp; drain. Combine egg, milk, onion, salt and pepper, beef and cooked rice. Place about 1/4 cup meat mixture in center of each leaf; fold in sides and roll ends over meat (like an envelope). Place in crock pot. Combine tomato sauce with brown sugar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over cabbage rolls. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours. Makes 6 servings.
