Join us as we celebrate the beauty of the season at Wisemantown United Methodist Church Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. There will be activities for all ages.
From free pumpkins for kids (while they last) to a quilt and knife show for adults, there will be something for everyone all day long. Slide down the inflatable slide, have your face painted or your pumpkin, listen as storytelling unfolds, or just play games such as cornhole. You might even want to get your picture taken on a fire engine.
There will be plenty of food to eat as well. Free hot dogs and chips will be served for lunch and for supper sit down for a bowl of soup beans or chili. Popcorn will be available all day long. There will be fried apple pies, cider, and many varieties of apples from Evans Orchard for sale. Local produce and fall products from local producers will be available as well.
Wisemantown has been a driving force in providing the location to paint for the Barn Quilt Trail and this program will be highlighted as well as the opportunity to view local hand made quilt heirlooms. Some quilts will even be available to purchase.
There will be music and performing throughout the day with the Berea College Dancers a concert by Simply His in the church sanctuary after the evening meal. Simply His plays a delightful array of Ozark Mountain music and hymns utilizing such old time instruments as the mandolin, hammered and mountain dulcimer. It will be a great day to fellowship and visit with friends and enjoy the beauty of the season that God has given to us all.
