Mary Tipton, 47
Mary B. Jeaneen “Sis” Morris Tipton 47, died Wednesday at Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital after a long Illness. She was born April 16, 1962 in Dayton Ohio, a daughter of Jim Morris and Mary Margaret Estes Morris. She was an employee of Family Dollar, and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors besides her parents include a son, Michael Steven (Megan) Crowe of Irvine; three brothers James E. “Fudd” (Sharon) Morris of Irvine, Bo (Madeline) Morris of Irvine, Paul (Lori) Morris of Peachtree City, Ga.; a sister Bobbie Faye (Shane) Bowman of Winchester; three grandchildren Karlee Crowe, Reuben Crowe, and Nykia King.
Services was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Home, by Bro. Mike Davis with burial at the Morris Family Cemetery.
Everett Flynn, 81
Everett Edward Flynn, 81, of Stump Road, Irvine, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Hamilton, Ohio. He was born Aug. 7, 1927 in Estill County, the son of the late Charles Walker and Laura White Flynn. He was a retired South East Coal Company employee and a farmer. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Stewart Flynn.
Survivors include one daughter, Cledith Gail Mistler of Hamilton, Ohio; three sons, Everett Edward Flynn Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio, James Raymond Flynn and Jerry Ray Flynn, both of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Orpha Whitehead of Colorado and Sophia Marie of Nebraska; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at West Irvine Cemetery. Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Randall Riddell, 49
Randall Leon Riddell, 49, Lillian Avenue, Louisville, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at the University of Louisville hospital after a short illness. He was born April 30, 1960 in Estill County, the son of the late James Leon and Bonnie Marie Miller Riddell. He was a painter and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He was preceded in death by one brother, Nelson Riddell.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Melinda Walcott of Louisville; one daughter, Hope Renee Johnson of Estill County; one son, Randall Brian Riddell of Estill County’ two sisters, Donna Puckett and Doris Brinegar, both of Estill County; two brothers, Anthony Riddell and Jeffery Wayne Riddell, both of Estill County; and three grandchildren, Savannah Faith Riddell, Timothy Paul Johnson and Andrea Paige Norton.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 14 at 1 p.m. at Pea Ridge Holiness Church by Bro. Jerry Rose and Bro. Jason Riddell with burial at the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rusty Craig, Mike Hunt, Kenny Kelly, Marvin Hunt, Tim Riddell, and Bobby Wayne Carroll. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Underwood, Earl Hunt and Frank Johnson.
Alma Malott, 73
Alma M. Malott, 73, a resident of Miamisburg, died at her home on May 7, 2009. She was born on Oct. 7, 1935 to the late Ernest and Agnus (Howell) Billings in Irvine. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Mommas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Malott Sr., and three brothers, Fred, Edward and Ernie Billings.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Malott Jr. and John (Carla) Malott; grandchildren, Gerald (Toni) Malott III, Shaunna Malott, Evan Malott, and Lily Malott; one great-granddaughter, Whitley Malott; and a sister, Cheryl (Marty) Morris.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 6 p.m. from the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg with Pastor Shawn O’Brien officiating.
