Engineers get a win over Bath County
The Estill County Engineers put another “W” into the seasons stat books last Friday against Bath County. After a hard fought game, The Big Blue overcame the Wildcats with a score of 34-19.
The Engineers rushed for 273 yards last Friday. Senior Randy Davidson broke the century mark with 134 yards, Greg Stamper rushed for 51 yards, Trevor Jones had 45 yards, and Logan Mize ran for 39 Yards.
The Big Blue had a good passing game against the Wildcats, with Trevor Jones completing eight of eleven passes, gaining a total of 65 yards. Logan Mize caught five passes for 43 yards and Randy Davidson caught three adding up to 22 yards. Randy Davidson and Trevor Jones also scored two touchdowns. Logan Mize scored once.
The Engineers will face off against the Garrard County Golden Loins. This will be the last home game for the Big Blue and all of the seniors for the football team, cheerleaders, and marching band will be recognized at halftime. Be sure to come out and support your Engineers next Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
