Jerry Elam, 27
Jerry Lee Elam, 27, Levee Road, Jeffersonville, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 at his home. He was born June 18, 1982 in Clark County, the son of James Elwood and Mary Ellen Tincher Elam. He was an employee of W.A. Kendall.
Survivors in addition to his parents, James and Mary Ellen Elam of Jeffersonville, are two daughters, McKenzie Brook Martin and Halee Storm Elam, both of Powell County; two sisters, Angela Spencer of Powell County and Wyona Kay Shelton of Lee County; one brother, James Christopher Elam of Powell County.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Pea Ridge Church by Bro. Frankie Sparks and Bro. John Henry Moore with burial at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Strange Jr., David Strange, Donald Hale, Nick Conners, Gary Shelton and George Tincher.
Donations would be appreciated toward the funeral expense.
Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Alma Singleton, 89
Alma Helen Singleton, 89, Clearcreek Road, Irvine, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital after a short illness. She was born Aug. 14, 1920 in Estill County, the daughter of the late Herman Robertson and Alma Jenkins Robertson King. She was a retired clerk at the Ravenna Post Office and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Earl Singleton Sr.; a daughter, Wanda Lee Morefield; and a brother, Joe Boltz.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Carol Lawson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Delores Ann McIntosh of Irvine; two sons, Donald Glen Singleton of Bonneau, S.C., and William Earl Singleton Jr. of Irvine; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home by Bro. Keith Sands with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Paul Scott Lawson, Todd McIntosh, Gary McIntosh, Randy McIntosh, Trent Singleton, Chris Singleton, Mark Singleton and Jimmy Walsh.
