Keiley Harrison, 21, of Richmond was indicted by a Madison County Grand Jury last Thursday for the death of an Irvine man due to a vehicle accident.
According to a story by Brian Smith in the Sept. 18 Richmond Register, Harrison is charged with second degree manslaughter, second-degree aggravated assault and aggravated driving under the influence.
On May 27 Harrison was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Willie Hurley, causing his death. His wife Patsy was seriously injured.
Patsy Hurley filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Madison County Circuit Court last week.
The Richmond Register article stated that the DUI charge was aggravated because Harrison refused a blood alcohol test after the accident. She could receive fines and up to 10 years in jail on the charges.
An indictment is a charge, not a conviction.
