July 15, 2010 by admin

According to a story by Brian Smith in the Richmond Register dated July 9, Keiley M. Harrison, 24, of Richmond was sentenced in Madison Circuit Court last Thursday for  her part in the death of 59-year old Archie Hurley on May 27, 2009.

Harrison, who was deemed to be driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, was sentenced to five years for second degree manslaughter and five years probation for second degree assault for injuring Hurley’s wife, Patsey, who was 45 at the time of the accident.

The Hurleys were traveling east on Kentucky 52 between Richmond and Irvine when the vehicle Harrison was driving crossed the center line and hit them head-on. Archie was pronounced dead at the scene and Patsey was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with serious injuries.
