July 19: 9-11 a.m. Seniors schedules and New Enrollees; 1-2:30 p.m. Junior schedules and New Enrollees. July 20: 9-11 a.m. Sophomore schedules and New Enrollees; 1-2:30 p.m. New Enrollees. Schedules will also be available for printing on the Parent Portal Website beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 19. The Kentucky Blood Center will have a blood drive at Rice Station Christian Church Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those wanting to donate blood can call 1-800-775-2522 or visit www.kybloodcenter.org for details.
American Legion Ladies Auxiliary
The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Club will meet July 11 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion.
Civil War Roundtable
The bi-monthly meeting of the Madison County Civil War Roundtable will be Friday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dinner Bell Restaurant just off I-75, Exit 76 in Berea. Noted historian and author Glen LaFantasie will give a lecture entitled “Remembering the Past at Gettysburg.” Reservations are necessary. The price of the buffet meal is $15. Teen Game Night
Two Teen Game Nights will be at Estill County Public Library during the month of July. Play games and pick up a teen reading log. Game nights will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on July 9 and 22. Teen summer reading ends July 22 during our wrap up party. Don’t forget teens, for every three hours you read you can compete to win prizes and gift cards. Come on out and join in the fun.
Class of 1990
Estill County High School class of 1990 will have their 20 year reunion picnic Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ravenna Veterans Memorial Park (Choo-Choo Park). The price for sandwich/chips/drink lunch is $7 per person to be paid at the registration table at the picnic. Everyone is welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Estill County Farmers Market
The 2010 Estill County Farmer’s Market, held under the Pavilion at the Estill County Fairgrounds, will be open Tuesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second Monday of each month will be Senior Discount Day. For questions contact Kim at 723-7101 or Pam at 723-9562.

Veterans Benefits Rep
A veterans benefits field representative will be at the National Guard Armory, 335 Cow Creek Road, Ravenna on the first Thursday of each month from 1-3:30 p.m. Veterans and their dependents will receive assistance filing for federal and state veterans benefits. The service is free. Veterans need to furnish copies of pertinent documentation to verify eligibility. For more information call 1-866-376-0308.
The Estill County Community Food Bank needs to stock the shelves of the pantry. A collection container will be located in the Extension Office and other places where donations of non-perishable items (canned, boxed foods, etc.) may be dropped off. Please help support this worthy program to help the less fortunate.
