Irvine Division of Police

6-22—Deanna F. Winburn, 30, 530 Pea Ridge Road, was driving a 2004 Pontiac on River Drive when she was stopped by Irvine Police and charged with failure to produce an insurance card; the report stated the driver didn’t have an insurance card.

6-23—Shellrana L. Stone, 26,  240 High Street, Irvine, was stopped on River Drive by Irvine Police for speeding. The police report stated she was clocked traveling 46 mph in a 35 mph zone. 

6-26—Officer Adrian McKinney answered a call to 217 Hood Avenue for a female needing to be removed from the residence. Officer McKinney’s report stated that Christy Mahaney, 29, 1265 South Irvine Road, was sitting inside the residence under the influence of alcohol. She was given ample opportunity to call a friend or relative to pick her and her seven-year-old son up, and she refused. She also refused to leave the residence. She was arrested and social services was contacted and made arrangements for child placement. Mahaney was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place 1st offense and was transported to the Estill County Jail without incident.

Ravenna Police Department

6-24— Officer Ken White of the Ravenna Police Department arrested Nakoa Crowe, 26, 910 Walton Road, Irvine, and charged him with burglary 2nd. The report stated that Crowe admitted to breaking into his father’s house and stealing numerous tools and ammo and that these items were taken to Dollar Deals and A&W Sports and sold. The items were reported to be valued at over $300. He was released on a $15,000 cash bond paid by Jennifer Lewis. Preliminary hearing is set for July 7 at 9 a.m.

Estill County Sheriff’s Department

6-21— Deputy Russell Morris arrested Billy J. Harvey, 34, of Waco, on Highway 52 and charged him with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 1st degree-1st offense-drug unspecified, and possession of controlled substance 3rd degree. The report stated that Harvey was a passenger in a truck when the driver was arrested for DUI. The report stated Harvey had slurred speech, blood shot eyes, and was unsteady on his feet. He also failed the HGN and the walk and turn. The deputy found a cigarette pack under the seat that contained marijuana and two oxycodone pills. He also found four yellow xanax pills in the glove box. Harvey was released on a $2,500 cash bond. He pleaded guilty in court June 23 and is scheduled for  show cause 12-8.
