To the editor,
This letter is in response to Conor Childers’ and Rhonda Smyth’s remarks about Obamas speech to children. I noticed Rhonda said “I know I should be more interested in what the president is doing. I should listen to his speeches so that I will know first hand what he has to say.” Well, if you’re not informed and are basing your opinion on “hear say,” should you be the one commenting on political issues that you admit you’re not on top of? I hope to give people another view, a view based on facts and not on “hear say.”
#1. Barrack Hussein Obama started his career in Chicago in the home of an admitted and unapologetic terrorist, Bill Aires.
#2. He sat in the pews of hate mongering Jeremiah Wright for 20 years but when asked about it, he didn’t know his preacher’s views. Yea, sure.
#3. He supported Acorn during his campaign and we all see what kind of organization they are.
#4. Cash for Clunkers ended up going three times over his administration’s estimated cost, why would I take his numbers seriously for health care?
#5. Bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia.
#6. Kissed socialist Hugo Chavez on the cheek.
#7. Announced that he would meet with Iranians with no preconditions while they’re building their nuclear weapons.
#8. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as “dangerous to the nation.”
#9. Ordered the word “terrorism” no longer be used and instead refers to such acts as “man, made disasters.”
#10. Told the Mexican President that America is largely to blame for the violence in their country.
#11. Accepted without comment that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two other nominees withdrew after they couldn’t take the heat.
#12. Praised Jimmy Carter’s trip to Gaza where he sided with Hamas against Israel.
#13. Ever Heard of Van Jones?
And these are just a few examples.
Now what kind of parent would want their children listening to this guy? If my son was old enough to be in school he would’ve spent that day at home learning what the word “freedom” really means. That’s all I have to say about that. . .for now.
P.S. Bush bashing was so fun for some people, so why can’t we disagree with Obama? Double standard?
