Sparks Cemetery Meeting
The annual September meeting at the Sparks Cemetery on Barnes Mountain will be Sunday, Sept. 20. The speaker will be Bro. Billy Durbin. Everyone is welcome to come and bring a covered dish and enjoy the day with family and friends.
Class of 1994
The Class of 1994 will have their 15 year class reunion on Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. at the Estill County Fair Barn. Cave Run Storytelling
The Daniel Boone National Forest will host a National Public Lands Day information booth at the Cave Run Storytelling Festival at Cave Run Lake during the weekend of Sept. 26. The public is encouraged to learn more about NPLD by visiting the information booth.
The Estill County Historical and Genealogy Society will meet Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Estill County Library. Anyone interested in presenting a craft at the Old Time Day should be present at this meeting.
Old Time Day
The Estill County Historical and Genealogy Society will host their 9th annual Old Time Day Oct. 17 at the museum on Broadway beginning at 10 a.m. There will be corn grinding, soup beans and corn bread, hit and miss engines, music and displays of crafts. Everyone is invited.
IHS Class of 1947-48

Estill County Chorus
The Estill County Community Chorus is looking for more new members. We especially need men. If you like to sing you are invited to join the chorus each Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Irvine First Christian Church, Main Street.
Class of 1963
Estill County High Class of 1963 will have their get-together Oct. 3 at noon at Judy (Spicer) Causey’s house, 63980 McKee Road. Judy can be reached at 723-5408 or Judy Causey @windstream.net. Bring a dish, lawn chair, cameras, etc. You do not have to be a graduate to attend. Once a classmate, always a classmate.

Financial Peace Classes
Financial Peace Classes meet every Wednesday for 12 weeks from now to Dec. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Estill County Library. To register call 859-624-4116, ext. 306. There is no cost to residents of Estill, Powell, Madison or Clark counties (a service of foothills CAP).
The Estill County Community Food Bank needs to stock the shelves of the pantry. A collection container will be located in the Extension Office and other places where donations of non-perishable items (canned, boxed foods, etc.) may be dropped off. Please help support this worthy program to help the less fortunate.
