I’ve been watching a show on TV called “Hoarding, buried alive.” This show reveals the life of many people who hoard stuff in their house.
I don’t mean just having a bunch of stuff–I mean having everything from clothes they never wear to papers of all kinds to scraps and leftover food containers like those used for carry out from the restaurant.
I consider myself quite messy in my old age. I’m certainly not as tidy around the house as I used to be. I blame getting older and some physical difficulties and having animals in the house for that, and the fact that I just plain don’t want to clean house any more.
I knew things were getting bad at my house, but I didn’t quite know how bad until the sun came out recently and I could see the winter’s collection of dust. Now, for heaven’s sake, I feel like one of those hoarders on TV. I don’t keep as much stuff as they do—mine is mostly dust. I guess it’s time to do some spring cleaning.
