ECHS is accepting SBDM nominations for the 2010-2011 school year at the high school from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. beginning April 1-April 7. Nominations can be made in Charlotte Sutter’s office at the Estill County High School. The Estill County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet on Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. at the Estill County Public Library. The election of officers and board of directors is scheduled for this meeting. The program will be the Estill County Arts Council power point presentation of the 50 barns, which have a quilt painted on them, this being an on-going project for the Art Council. As you enter Estill County from any direction, the Art Council has placed the signs about the county there.

Veterans Benefits Rep
A veterans benefits field representative will be at the National Guard Armory, 335 Cow Creek Road, Ravenna on the first Thursday of each month from 1-3:30 p.m. Veterans and their dependents will receive assistance filing for federal and state veterans benefits. The service ie free. Veterans need to furnish copies of pertinent documentation to verify eligibility. For more information call 1-866-376-0308.
The Estill County Community Food Bank needs to stock the shelves of the pantry. A collection container will be located in the Extension Office and other places where donations of non-perishable items (canned, boxed foods, etc.) may be dropped off. Please help support this worthy program to help the less fortunate.
Mommie and Me
