The Irvine-Ravenna Woman’s Club kept busy at their March club meeting working on projects in which the club is involved. During the business session members voted to give a donation to the Estill County High School to assist seniors who need some help for their senior trip to Washington, D.C. Members discussed the sale of the Estill County Bicentennial coverlets at the Mountain Mushroom Festival. It has been a fundraiser for the club to fund their many community projects. The coverlets are available at Citizen’s Guaranty Bank. Also members brought food items for the Estill County food bank.
The club’s project for the evening was to prepare for the ECMS/ECHS Art Show at the Mountain Mushroom Festival. Club members prepared envelopes with a congratulations letter and money that will go to those students who place first, second and third place overall winner in the art categories at the festival. The club also has bought purple, blue, red, and white ribbons to give to the winners of the categories.
