Body Fitness Classes with Sister Loretta Spotilla
Body Fitness exercise classes with Sister Loretta Spotila, RN will begin January 29, at the Estill County Extension Office on Stacy Lane, the class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., a $3 donation per class. The classes are helpful for persons with arthritis, asthma, and difficulty moving. The classes will have gentle exercise and movement. The classes help build strength and flexibility. Breakfast for Charlie Company
There will be a breakfast held for all retired and former National Guard members from the Charlie Company 1st/149th the first Friday every month, beginning at 9 a.m., at the Craker Barrell in Richmond.
Estill County Democrat Executive Committee will be meeting Thursday, February 15, at 6 p.m. at the Estill County Public Library. The committee meets every third Thursday of the month. All Democrats are invited. We look forward to seeing you.

The monthly board meeting of the Estill Arts Council will be be held at the Estill County Public Library meeting room at 6:30 p.m. on February 20. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Prospective members are welcome also.
Four Seasons Garden Club’s Workshop – “Growing a Healthy Lawn”
The Four Seasons Garden Club will meet Thursday, February 15, at 3 p.m. at the Extension Office. “Growing a Healthy Lawn” will be presented by Eric Baker, County Extension Agent for Agriculture & Natural Resources. The program is open to the public and free of charge. The object of the club is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants, and birds; and to promote cleanliness, beauty, and improvement of property in Estill County. New members are welcome to join the club which meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Francine Bonny is the club president. The Four Seasons Garden Club is a member of the National Council of State Garden Club, Inc.

Kiwanis Club of Irvine-Ravenna
The Kiwanis Club of Irvine-Ravenna will meet Thursday, February 15, at the Estill County Public Library. “Outreach Activities of the Library” will be the program. Produce Marketing Class and Farmer’s Market Association Meeting
If you would like to learn more about how to market your produce, Cooperative Extension will have a learning session called “Market Signs That Work,” on Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Estill County Extension office, 76 Golden Court, Irvine. This session will discuss ways to get people to your market and how to communicate effectively while they are there. Immediately after the learning session, the Estill County Farmer’s Market Association will have their February meeting. Starry Time Storytime meets each Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. This storytime is designed for children that are already attending school and their families. It is a variation of our traditional storytime with activities for both the small and the tall. Ages 4 to 10 years is our usual group. The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease
If you have a loved one who is newly diagnosed, or if you just want to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, this program is for you. This presentation will explore what everyone should know about memory loss issues and what they mean for all of us. The program will be held on Thursday, February 8, from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the Estill County Extension Office located at 76 Golden Court, Irvine, KY 40336. Tots Express School Readiness Program
Tots Express is a program to introduce 3 to 5 year old children to pre-school and help them become Kindergarten ready while also teaching parents strategies to help their child succeed. This is open to children who are not currently enrolled in pre-school at South Irvine Early Learning Center. Dates are: March 9, March 23*, April 13, and April 27, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Attendance at each session is encouraged to ensure your child gets the greatest benefit of the program. Please note some dates may change due to weather. If Estill County Schools are closed, Tots Express will be cancelled. Tots Express classes are at South Irvine Early Learning Center. Veterans Benefits Field Representative to be at Estill County Library
A Veterans Benefits Field Representative will be at the Estill County Library the first Thursday of each month. Veterans will be seen by appointment only. Veterans and their dependents will receive assistance filing for Federal and State veterans benefits. This service is provided free of charge by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs. To apply, veterans need to furnish copies of pertinent documentation to verify eligibility. For further information, please call 859-497-6444 to speak with a Veterans Benefits Field Representative.
West Irvine Site Based Decision Meeting
West Irvine SBDM will be the third Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m.

The Estill County Public Library, the Interfaith Wellness Center, and the Kentucky Foundation for Women are co-sponsoring a free women’s writing workshop taught by Donna M. Crow.
