Estill County Sheriff’s Office
1-31-Deputy Brad Smith arrested Robert Dunaway, 33, of South Irvine Road and charged him with receiving stolen property. The citation stated a trooper with the Indiana State Police reported the theft of a Plymouth minivan that he believed to be headed to Dunaway’s residence on South Irvine Road. The trooper said Dunaway had stolen the vehicle in Connersville, Ind. on Jan. 20. When Smith found the van he checked the VIN on the vehicle and discovered it is the stolen vehicle. The report states Dunaway admitted to taking the vehicle but thought he had permission to do so. The van was towed by Smokey’s with a police hold placed on it.
1-28- David Coffey of Substation Road reported that somebody broke into his outbuilding by removing a portion of the rear of the building and removed several items including tools, tool boxes and saws. The loss is valued at $1,800.
1-26-Seth Harris of Linus Fore Road reported a theft of tools from his tool box affixed to his truck while it was parked outside his garage at his residence. The thief broke the lock on the toolbox to gain entry and removed $1,465 worth of tools.
Irvine Division of Police
1-31- Officer Donald Sheeks arrested Bill H. Comley III, 31, of River Drive and charged him with second and third degree possession of a controlled substance. Sheeks’ report stated he was called to investigate a male walking on River Drive who appeared to be intoxicated. The subject produced a bottle from his pocket which contained Xanax, Oxycontin and Percoset. Bail was set at $7,500.
1-31-Officer Humble arrested Jobie Kirby, 27, of Lincoln Avenue and charged him with giving police a false name, trafficking in a controlled substance, first and third degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to produce insurance card and failure to wear seat belts. Humble’s report states he was dispatched to Shell Mart on a complaint that this individual was harassing people. He spotted Kirby westbound on the Irvine bridge driving a 2010 Dodge van.
1-29-Heather N. King, 24, of Edgewater Drive was arrested at 1:05 a.m and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol and careless driving. Officer Michael Gross was the arresting officer.
1-29-Greg Richardson, 33, of Substation Road was arrested for disregarding a stop sign and driving on a suspended license by Officer Michael Gross.
1-29-Vickie Cornett, 36, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear by Officer Michael Gross.
1-29- Officer Adrian McKinney arrested Jeffery Henry, 23 of Wagersville Road and charged him with public intoxication, giving a false name, possession of a controlled substance, second and third degree. McKinney’s citation stated Henry was with a group of individuals on Broadway and he had an odor of alcoholic beverage about his person. When he was searched by Officer Nick Lodal at the jail, six hydrocodone tablets and 12 Clonzapam tablets were found on him and in his shoe. He was then charged with promoting contraband.
1-29-Monica R. Neal, 19, of Church Street, was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place by Officer Adrian McKinney. His report states that she was standing on Broadway with a group of people and when he drove by she stepped out in front of his vehicle. He states when he stopped to talk to her a bottle of vodka fell from underneath her coat.
1-29-David H. Crouch, 50, of Driftwood Drive was cited for making an improper turn on Main Street in a Nissan by Officer Adrian McKinney. McKinney stated on the citation that Crouch was traveling north when he turned left into a parking space on the southbound side of Main Street. He crossed the southbound lane and the turning lane while making the turn.
1-29-Darrell Hall, 67, of Sand Hill Road was cited for making an improper turn on Main Street by crossing the turning lane and the southbound lane to park on the southbound side of the street while traveling north. Officer Adrian McKinney issued the citation.
1-28- Regina G. Reed, 49, of Gordon Road, was cited for failure to use proper child restraints, expired license tags and registration by Officer Nick Lodal. Lodal stated on the citation that he stopped Reed while she was driving a 1991 gray Chevrolet on Main Street when he observed her plates were expired. He discovered a small child sitting on the lap of a male subject in the back seat. Court date is set for March 17.
