Estill County Circuit Court was back in session Friday with a larger than usual docket due to court being canceled earlier in the month due to bad weather. Judge Tom Jones went about clearing the docket in his usual efficient and fair manner. The first order of business was a pre-trial conference for accused murderers Leonard Henry and Opal Ashcraft. A tentative trial date of Oct. 11 was set with status updates set for Sept. 10 and sometime in July. The couple is accused of the shooting deaths of Henry’s mother Katherine Henry and brother, Paul Richardson. Other cases and their dispensation include: *Probation revocation hearings were set for Feb. 12 for Erica Sizemore, Denny Lee Farley, Timothy Sizemore, Michael Cornett Jr., Billie R. Wilson, Sommer L. Arvin; *Sentenced Donald P. McIntosh to 13 years in prison on several counts of burglary of Estill County homes; *Motions for shock probation were denied for Katherine Ashley Henry. Katherine Abney, Bradley Joe Young and Donald L. Lewis Jr.; *A motion to transfer Michael J. Hatton to drug court was denied; *Benjamin Rose entered Alford Plea of guilty to cultivation of marijuana more than five plants and was sentenced to pre-trial diversion on recommendation of the commonwealth; *Kristy Stamper was remanded to custody after her bond was revoked when she failed a drug test. She is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and the case is set for Feb. 12 for a possible plea; *Samantha Allen pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a forged instrument and was given pre-trial diversion; *Assault charges were dismissed against Stanley Isaacs as no witnesses appeared. He pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and was sentenced to 12 months; *A bench warrant for failure to appear was issued for Jeff Henry. He is charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking; *Tina Michelle Chapman, 33, pleaded guilty to promoting contraband and was given pre-trial diversion; *Larry Allen Riddell will be sentenced on Feb. 12 for tampering with physical evidence in the shooting death of Eric Murphy.
