Angeline Jean Brandenburg, 83, of Lakeshore Drive in Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, March 21, at her home following a short illness. She was born March 7, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Antonio and Victoria DelVecchil Cioffi. She was a mail clerk with Procter and Gamble and was a member of the Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Fred Brandenburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa DeStefano and husband, Mike DeStefano of Cincinnati, and Donna Fohl and husband, Larry Fohl of Elizabethtown; a son, David Brandenburg and wife, Sandy Brandenburg of Kettering, Ohio; a brother, Pat Cioffi and wife, Sue Cioffi of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and husband, Jon Miller, Melissa Miller and husband, Mike Miller, Julie McNamee, Tom Fohl and wife, Michelle Fohl, Steve Fohl and wife, Dana Fohl, Justin Brandenburg and wife, Brittany Brandenburg, Kelly Westcott and husband, Andrew Westcott, Mike Fohl and wife, Lindsay Fohl; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Brian Fohl; and 10 Siblings.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 26, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of Central Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by a Grandson, Joseph Brian Fohl, and 10 Siblings.

Christopher Dale Burton, 25, of 325 Morefield Road, Ravenna, Kentucky, died Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home. He was born November 25, 1991 at Pattie A Clay Hospital in Madison County. He was the son of Hurbert Leslie Burton and Eunice Diane Griffin Burton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, root digging, music, and woodworking. He was a meat cutter at the Marksbury Company. He had lived in Estill County most of his life.
Other than his parents he is survived by three sisters, Keeirrarha Kiayanna Hurley, Brittney Renee Miranda Tipton, and Tasha McClure; one brother, Justin Toss Clark; three brothers in-law, Christopher Miranda, Andy Ray Smith, and John Wayne Tipton; four nieces, Lilliana Renee Miranda, Tabatha Burton, Samantha Burton, and Ashley Nicley; a nephew, Roman Bradley Miranda; Grandparents, Carol Griffin, Robert Fox, Nanna Mea Griffin; Aunts and uncles, KathyRhodes and husband, Keith Rhodes, Angel Carlista, Vikki Oliver, Josh Oliver, Trisha Carpenter, and husband, Chris Carpenter; and a host of cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Matthew Hurley; an uncle, BradHurley; and three grandparents, Steven Douglas Griffin, Annamea Lovett, Nana Smythia Timmons, and Brady Griffin.
He had a heart bigger than he could pack, he loved everbody with all his heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ruby Lee Richardson Lutes, 84, of Springview Road in Irvine, died Saturday, March 18, at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. She was born March 19, 1932, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Ann Estes Richardson. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of the Sandhill Christian Church and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clausen Lavaughn Lutes.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Joyce Lutes of Estill County; a son, Ronald Lutes of Estill County; three sisters, Edna Marie Dennis of Estill County, Loraine Crawford of Estill County, and Phyllis F. Gilbert of Estill County; and a brother, George Richardson of Estill County.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 22, at the Sandhill Christian Church by Bro. Harvie Spry and Bro. David Holland. Burial in the Johnny Richardson Cemetery.Pallbearers were Roger Richardson, Randy Richardson, Jeff Dennis, Tim Gilbert, Johnny Poynter, and Kris Spry.
Marion Hardy, 87, of Hardy Road in Irvine died Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a short illness. He was born January 21, 1930 in Estill County and was the son of the late Kizer and Rachel Catherine Stepp Hardy. He was a former employee of Riddell Construction Company and a member of the Pentecostal Church. He had lived in Estill County all of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mirtie Johnson Hardy.
He is survived by six daughters, Brenda Joyce Riddell of Irvine, Laverne Estes and husband, Earl Estes, Sr. of Irvine, Pauline Walling of Irvine, Evelyn Hardy of Irvine, Carolyn Sue Riddell and husband, Anthony Riddell of Irvine, and Doris Jean Hardy and husband, Robert Hardy of Irvine; a son, Jimmy Hardy and wife, Hazel Hardy of Irvine; three brothers, Glendon Hardy of Irvine, George Hardy of Irvine, and Harvey Hardy of Irvine; five grandchildren including his only granddaughter, Cindy Marie Riddell; 14 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first grandchild, Mickey Riddell; 5 brothers, Jesse Hardy, James Hardy, Leon Hardy, Estill Hardy, and Tracy Hardy.

Harvey Carroll, 74, of Hinton Branch Road in Irvine died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Compassionate Care Center following a long illness. He was born September 6, 1942 in Estill County and was the son of the late Ernest and Sarah Isaacs Carroll. He was a farmer and a retired cab driver and had lived in Estill County all of his life.
He is survived by two sons, Harvey Carroll, Jr. and wife, Tanya Carroll of Ukraine, and Terry Carroll and wife, Sonya Carroll of Estill County; two sisters, Linda Harrison of Estill County, and Kate Webb of Madison County; two brothers, Rice Carroll of Estill County, and Bonnie Carroll of Estill County; four grandchildren, Jeremy Carroll, Teia Brandenburg, Tate Parks, and Christian Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Carroll; and a sister, Van Brinegar.

Arthur Embry, 76, of Maupin Hill Road in Irvine died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his home following a long illness. He was born April 20, 1940 in Estill County and was the son of the late Hugh and Hazel Babb Embry. He was a mason and a retired rig operator with Western Cruise. He attended the Lower Red Lick Holiness Church and the House of Prayer. He had lived in Estill County all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Plowman Embry;
five daughters, Connie Murphy and husband, Dennis Murphy of Estill County, Bobbie Townsend and husband, James Townsend of Estill County, Hazel Hardy and husband, Jimmy Hardy of Estill County, Charlene Sellars and husband, Tony Sellars of Estill County, and April Embry Coffey and husband, Jason Coffey of Estill County; four sons, Arthur Earl Embry and wife, Patty Embry of Estill County, Michael Jr. Embry and wife, Annie Embry of Estill County, Brian Eugene Embry and wife, Amanda Embry of Estill County, and Dwight Steven Embry of Estill County; 22 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a grandchild he raised, Brook Townsend; many nieces and nephews; and two pets, Gracie and Tiger
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael Edward Townsend and Lucas Carl Embry; three sisters, Louise Arvin, Gracie May Embry, and Mattie Embry; and five brothers, Eugene Embry, Robert Embry, Shannon Embry, Nelson Vickers, and Chester Embry; and two loving pets, Prince and Lazy.

Thelma Sizemore Webb, 87, died in her home on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born March 17, 1930, and was very blessed to have lived a long and full life surrounded by her family and friends and is now reunited peacefully with her husband, James Howard Webb.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Webb and wife, Linda Webb, and Donald and wife, Patty Webb; and her grandchildren, Shannon, Danielle, Angie, Bradley, Ryan, Matthew, and Josh; great grandchildren, Hayden, Tyler, and Isaiah; siblings, Polly, Ollie, Sylvester, Baxter, Mettie, Baxter, and Sylvester; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed in her community where she was socially active in the senior citizens center, local bingo, and church. She touched many people with her warmth, kindness, and giving heart. The loss of Thelma is immense to those who loved and cared for her, but we will seek comfort and solace knowing she has gone home to rest peacefully with our Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, John, Steve, Marthie, Lee, Luther, and Bonnie.
Services were held at Wednesday, March 29, at Lewis-Abner Home for Funerals with Bro. Scott Rogers officiating. Burial in the Sandhill Cemetery.
Bertha Lee Wise, 75, widow of Odell Wise died on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on April 19, 1941, in Estill County, Kentucky, to the late James R. and Stella Shuler Watson. She was a nurse assistant at Fountain Circle Nursing Home and a member of Trinity Church of God.
She is survived by six children, Roger Wise, Phyllis Clem and husband, Ronald Clem, S. Kathy Stephens and husband, Ronnie Stephens, Rebecca Wise and boyfriend, Rick Ball, Mary Lamb, and Tonya Wise; nine grandchildren, Ryan Clem, Samantha Wise, Matthew Rucker, Cassie Stephens, Brandon Miller, Shavona Prater, Aaron Wise, Bria Wise, and Julia Richardson; six great grandchildren, Rhiley Rucker, Braydon Stephens, Leigha Wise, Maddie Prater, Carter Miller, and Eden Miller; a brother, Teddy Watson; and a sister, Margie Rogers.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Wayne Wise.
Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 30, at Trinity Church of God, 285 Winn Avenue, Winchester, by Bro. Billy Keller. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.
