Ruby Lee Richardson Lutes, 84, of Springview Road in Irvine died Saturday, March 18, at the Marcum and Wallace Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born March 19, 1932, in Estill County, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Ann Estes Richardson. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of the Sandhill Christian Church and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clausen Lavaughn Lutes.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Joyce Lutes of Estill County; a son, Ronald Lutes of Estill County; three sisters, Edna Marie Dennis of Estill County, Loraine Crawford of Estill County, and Phyllis F. Gilbert of Estill County; and a brother, George Richardson of Estill County.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 24, at the Sandhill Christian Church by Bro. Harvie Spry and Bro. David Holland. Burial in the Johnny Richardson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Richardson, Randy Richardson, Jeff Dennis, Tim Gilbert, Johnny Poynter, and Kris Spry.
Milford Parnell Todd, 73
Milford Parnell Todd, 73, of Todd Lane in Irvine died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at his home following a long illness. He was born November 20, 1943 in Estill County and was the son of the late Willard and Irene Powell Todd. He was a retired GM employee and had lived in Estill County most of his life. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Masonic Lodge where he held the 32nd degree, the Shriners, the Eagles and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Lettie Mae Ratliff Todd; two daughters, Kimberly Lynn Todd Geer of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Angela Michele Todd Webster and husband, Brian Webster of Beavercreek, Ohio; three step-sons, Aaron David Moore of Dayton, Ohio, Terrance Michael Sorah of Tipp City, Ohio, and Robert John Sorah of Vandellia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Dusty Lynn Kalback and husband, Derek Kalback, Cody Wyatt Geer and wife, Javi Geer, David Moore, Cassie Taylor, Kip Sorah, Zachary Sorah, Karleigh Sorah, Robert Northrap, Jason Sorah, and Brady Sorah; six great grandchildren, Willa Evelyn Irene Kalback, David Moore, David James Moore, Titus Taylor, Lucas Taylor, and Kaily Moore; and his special dog, Little Bit.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Chip Geer.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 18, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at the Powells Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cody Geer, Joel Timmons, Brian Webster, James Willard Richardson, Terrance Michael Sorah, and Robert Sorah. Honorary Pallbearers were Kimberly Geer, Angela Webster, Wilton Flynn, Brenda Kennon, Shanetta Flynn, Melvin Rawlins, Paul Snowden, Nelson Hunt, Jimmy Richardson, and his cousins.
Etta Marie Willis, 80, of Dry Branch Road in Irvine died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at her home following a long illness. She was born March 26, 1936 in Estill County and was the daughter of the late Daniel Odell and Sarah Jane McKinney Estes. She was a former American Tobacco Company employee and had lived in Estill County all of her life. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and also a former member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Willis.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue Patrick of Owen County, Amanda Bessie McIntosh of Estill County, and Nita Jane Tipton of Estill County; a son, Claude Nelson Willis of Estill County; 10 grandchildren, Charles Staton, Daniel Willis, Belinda Addison, Jeff Wilson, Kathy Cole, Betty Ramos, Bobby White, Larry White, Amanda Neal, and Claude Willis, II; 15 Great Grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Danny Willis; three sisters, Frances Muncy, Lillian Todd, Verda Mae Chamberlain; and six brothers; Orvil Estes, Ollie Estes, Glen Estes, Joe Eddison Estes, Odell Estes, and Hiram Estes.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 19, at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro .Rick Powell. Burial at the Hardy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Staton, Jeff Wilson, Claude Willis, II, Bobby Nelson White, Larry Dean White, Terry Sexton, Alex Cole, and Jaxon Cole. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made toward the funeral expenses.
