The Irvine Division of Police has been busy keeping the streets of Irvine safe. The following citations were issued in the last two weeks:
•1-16 Ray Turpin, 29, of Winston Road, failure to produce insurance card and disregarding a stop sign. He was stopped for not coming to a complete stop at a sign on Armour Street and couldn’t produce a valid insurance card, according to the citation issued by Officer Nick Lodal. He was driving a 2008 gray Ford at the intersection of N. Lily Avenue and Armour Street. His district court date is Feb. 2.
•1-16 Jeremiah Spivey, 22, of George Street, cited for expired registration plates, expired registration receipt and failure to notify DOT of address change while driving a 2000 Nissan on Edgewood Drive. T. Humble was the citing officer. District Court date is Feb. 17.
•1-16 Shayne L. Whitaker, 19, of Broaddus Crossing was cited for expired registration plates and expired registration receipt while driving a 1997 GMC on Kirkland Avenue. Officer Humble issued the citation and the district court date is Feb. 17.
•1-16-Tammy S. Riddell, 36, of Steveland Court, cited by Officer Humble for no registration plates or receipt and failure to produce insurance card while driving a blue Ford on Rice Street. District court date is Feb. 17.
•1-14-Jerry L. Henry, 34, of Rose Street was cited by Officer Lodal for violating the Irvine City Noise Ordinance. The citation issued by Lodal states Henry had several dogs in his yard that were barking. It also stated he has been warned and cited before. Lodal reported citation was issued without incident. He will appear in district court on Feb. 17.
•1-13- Josh Lee Peiffer, 19, of Walling Road, was arrested and charged with fourth degree assault, domestic violence, by Officer Adrian McKinney. On the citation McKinney stated that he received a call of a rolling domestic in progress in a silver Mustang with windshield damage. He found the vehicle at the Walling Road residence. The victim told him that she and Peiffer had been living together since July or August and that he had punched her and burned her with a cigarette. McKinney stated she had numerous bruises and a burn on her face.
•1-10-Amy L. Rettburg, 32, of Old Medford Lane in Ravenna was cited by Officer Humble for expired registration plates and receipt while driving a 2001 tan Pontiac on Court Street at River Drive. Plates expired in August of 2009.
